Project Summary
New Hampshire is among the top five states with the highest rate of opioid-involved deaths. 51 out of every 1,000 kids in New Hampshire were impacted by the opioid crisis in 2017, either from their parent's opioid use or their own. If current trends continue, an estimated 4.3 million children will have had OUD or a parent with OUD by 2030.
Strategy
Raising parental awareness of opioid abuse and the harmful effects it causes for their children such as placement in foster care, future drug abusers, pyschological trauma and a never ending cycle of drug abuse.
